I am amazed every day by the support that's available with MXI. I mean, I understand that my success makes my "upline" more successful, but this group takes that to a whole new level.

First of all, my sponsor is the BEST! Kim is not only my sponsor and mentor but she has become my very good friend. But it doesn't stop there. Kim's sponsors are Judy and Ian Murray. They're the Canadian founding distributors for Xocai. I am madly in love with these people! They give me inspiration and motivation just by the sound of their voices. But they back it up with a real desire to help us become successful.

The most important lessons I have learned about our business I have learned from Judy. First of all, she has the most infectious enthusiasm. But she knows what she's talking about too. Let's face it...you have to know what you're talking about to have earned more than a million dollars in less than 3 years!

The most important lesson I learned from Judy is that you can't compare yourself to others. There are tonnes of stories out there about people who have become successful overnight. They're great stories, and the help motivate us every day. But I have learned from Judy that it doesn't matter if it takes 2 months or 2 years, it's worth it! If I stay in my current career, and never try anything new, I will NEVER earn a million dollars. NEVER. PERIOD. So big fat hairy deal if I don't make my first million for a few years. Hell...if it takes me 5 years, what have I lost? I can't think of a single thing. I am working in the most ethical business structure in the world with the most amazing product in the world and I'm part of the most amazing team in the world! What could possibly be any better!

I am also learning so much every time I hear Ian and Judy speak. They speak with such confidence and make me realize how simple this business really is that it becomes easier for me every day. Just this week, I worked up the nerve to make my first cold call. O.K. so it was a luke warm call...but it was still something I had to work myself up to. I know, I know...it's just a phone, but so many of us find it weighs a tonne when we have to present our business to any one. I have listened to a million and one different reasons why using the phone shouldn't be so hard, and I have to keep listening because I still don't have it down to a science. But now that I have done it, it's not so bad.

On Monday, there was a call I wanted to make, and I was literally making myself ill with anticipation of this call. Finally, after some coaching, I picked up the phone, said exactly what Judy said I should say, and guess what...I lived to tell the story! I didn't die!!! It went off without a hitch! I felt like a million bucks!

Cold calling isn't for everyone. But it can work if you do it right. Malcolm Peters, UK distributor and trainer extraordinaire doesn't even have a cold market...he calls it his red hot market! There are people out there just waiting for what we have to offer. And they're not going to come and knock on our door, so we have to talk to them.

Bottom line...I faced another fear, did what the successful people said to do, used the proven methods, and it was a success! And I never could have done it without the support of the amazing people I have in my life. Boy, the harder I work, the luckier I get!

Staying Motivated

Until recently, there was little that could really motivate me. I had a "normal" life, a "normal" job...and that was the way I thought it would stay. Enter Xocai!

When I was younger, I had dreams. Dreams most people wouldn't believe. Like most young people, I thought anything was possible, and of course, I was bulletproof!

After some pretty trying times in my personal life, I lost my dreams and settled for normal. How boring.

Then about 7 months ago, I met Kim. She is my sponsor, and one of the most amazing people I know! I love her so much. She has introduced me to a world I never imagined existed. One where I could start dreaming again!

We all need a little push to stay motivated once in a while. Here's one very small piece of advice from me among the many, MANY important things I have learned since I began building my chocolate empire:

Don't dwell on where you've been, focus on where you're going! I have had many epic failures in my day, but let face it, it took Edison more than 10 thousand times to create the light bulb! Friends had Marconi arrested and sent for a psych examination when he said he could send and receive radio waves through the air! A few failures don't mean total failure! They're just trial runs. If you have had failures in your past, consider them practice shots...you were just aiming! I have found my target! It's Xocai, and there is no turning back!

In this business, we keep our teams close. We depend on each other to boost us when we need it and we boost others when they do. We have people all over the world who are willing to help! We are so fortunate to come from a company and a group of leaders who truly want us to succeed. And now I know success is truly out there, just waiting for me.

So even on my worst days (and none of them are really all that bad!) I just remember that after all these years, prosperity is mine. I just have to stay focused and remain in the company of these amazing people.
