This amazing week just keeps rolling!
Every second Wednesday, our team gets together for training and strategizing. This week's meeting was especially exciting! We had a great turn out, and a special guest.
Kim, my wonderful sponsor who I love with all my heart, and I recently met with some representatives of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and at last minute have signed up a team to ride the "Big Bike". Our special guest was Kristina, the summer student for Heart and Stroke. She came to get us pumped up for the event, and give us some ideas for fund raising. Then the insanity ensued!
We talked and laughed and tried desperately to stay on topic to get through our agenda. We had an absolute blast!
Kim did an exercise with us that everyone really enjoyed. She went around the room and asked each of us "What are you reading?" More hoopla! What really came out of it is a focus on self-development. Many of us are reading books on self-improvement and development and we shared titles, names of authors and reasons certain books are important to us. It was a lot of fun and it really got us thinking about what we can read to help make us better and to improve our business.
When I first got involved with Xocai, Kim loaned me a copy of a book called the Go-Giver. It changed my life. I now have at least three books and one CD set on the go at all times! If I don't read for a couple of days, I can really start to see a change in my attitude. Robin Sharma is one of my favourites. The second book I read was the Monk who sold his Ferrari. AMAZING! Completely life altering!
Since entering this business, I have been constantly reading these books and listening to CDs. A practice I once thought was reserved for nerds and geeks and people who didn't have the good sense to run their own lives. Now I realize that we all could use a little help, motivation and inspiration. It's what keeps us going during the tough times and keeps us from quitting when our goals are truly within our reach!
My goals become clearer every day, and I have an outstanding company, support team and product to get me there. I consider myself so blessed to have found this opportunity. Quitting is not an option even on the difficult days! What I am doing now is so worth it. My wildest dreams are now within my reach, and I have never been happier!
